Welcome! We’re excited to be able to offer you a chance to take this survey. We pilot tested it from Dec 21st, 2018-Jan 31, 2019. In that time we drew 50 entries and were able to generate an interactive map that we’re calling Permaculture in Ontario (for now). See the map here. We’re still adding entries to the map as they come in.
Here are a few questions to help you think about whether you should take the survey:
Are you in or from Ontario and:
- have one or more projects that express permaculture principles or use permaculture approaches?
- practice permaculture in one or more personal or community contexts?
- relate to the permaculture principles and practice holistic and/or regenerative work?
- have an interest in connecting with and/or building a community of practice in your area and/or in Ontario?
If you’ve answered yes to some of these, please take the survey so we can learn about what you’re up to!
We shared the first round of survey results and trends at the Permaculture Design Strategies for Ontario workshop at the Guelph Organic Conference at the end of January. Many of the results are visible directly in the map. We’ll share more on what we’re seeing and thinking as we Observe and Interact with the data over time. Meanwhile, we’re continuing to host and participate in discussions about how we can continue to build a healthier and stronger community of permaculture practitioners and allies (farmers, gardeners, teachers, students, community developers, etc). If you would like to engage in the design conversations about what to do next with the survey, map and our growing community, drop us a line. We look forward to connecting with you in community and and in the field(s)!
