Permaculture Design Day, March 11

Permaculture DesignPermaculture Design

Permaculture Design Day

Fri March 11th, 2016 (10am to 5:30pm)

Suggested Contribution: $100 — $175

Join us as we grow and deepen our understanding and practice of Permaculture Design skills. Anchored by a refresher of some Permaculture fundamentals, the day will explore how we move beyond “sustainable” to “regenerative” systems design. We will present a framework for Wholistic Landscapes, which will allow us to discover the relevance of human ecosystems in our projects.

We will apply permaculture design to the projects brought to the table by participants. Any idea or project that you would like to work on, get feedback on, explore and see manifest is welcome. If you don’t have a project in mind yet, please don’t hesitate to join us to share and explore while co-create in community. Here are examples of what you might focus on in this workshop:

  • Home or community garden designs;
  • A community project that you’d like to design, implement or improve;
  • A business you’d like to plan or refocus;
  • A master’s thesis or research project;
  • Change of career;
  • Other…

Conventional Permaculture Design is being enriched by our learnings from “Social Permaculture,” which is a leading edge of Permaculture practice internationally. Integrating knowledge of the human landscapes into our designs connects us more with the reality of the human dynamics and needs that we design for, and supports us in becoming more successful permaculturalists. This is an opportunity to discover a more wholistic frame for permaculture design and its relevance to our projects (and lives). We trust you will be inspired – we are!

There are limited spots available. Register now.
