Integrated Leadership Coaching

Want to take your project, community-oriented business or leadership skills to the next level? Interested in applying permaculture principles and approaches to your career, business or project? I coach individuals, groups and teams to grow resilient gardens, projects & programs, careers, businesses & organizations, and, ultimately communities.

Site & Program Design

Looking for something engaging to do with your group? Need help developing your project, program or piece of land? I design customized programs and support you or your organization to run them successfully. See the workshops and courses below for some program options.

Workshops & Courses

I offer education suited to a variety of learning styles. I offer hands-on and interactive activities and opportunities to ground learning and make it accessible.  Topics I can facilitate, present on and teach include:

  • Permaculture Design
  • Organic Gardening
  • Soils and the Soil Food Web
  • Garden Planning and Design
  • Garden Programming and Leadership
  • Teacher Training (also training for other professionals wishing to garden with groups)
  • Deep Gardening for Social Change
  • Herb Identification, Harvesting and Processing
  • Harvesting and Preserving Food
  • Worm Composting / Composting

Sample Programs
Starting a Garden & Garden Program

I’ve helped schools, as well as daycares and companies, to start gardens that are engaging for multiple stakeholders (e.g. kids, parents, teachers, community). Typically I work through a process that helps a group and / or project leaders to:

  • Name and/or clarify goals
  • Design and implement a program that engages people
  • Design and implement organic gardens and supporting infrastructure
  • Plan ahead for critical maintenance in the first year and future years
  • Access high quality plant material, soil amendments and tools.

This program typically includes garden workshops, hands-on demonstrations of fun activities, and site advice that is tailored to the needs of the group and site. I also offer coaching for garden leaders, resources, some plant material, supplier and program contacts, and garden advice through the growing season. Activities are curriculum linked for schools.

Intermediate & Advanced Garden Program

Established gardens and garden programs can often use some enhancement or revitalization. I listen and provide feedback on achievements, challenges and goals. I can provide a range of services, including specialized staff training, community workshops, and kids activities. I can also help with plants, composting, pruning, mulching, structures, art enhancements and community events. I aim to support groups to have a 5-10 year plan for their project so they are more viable, sustainable and productive.
